Apollo Project
The Apollo Project was first started to start further research into the alarming number of puppies dying after ingesting puppy formula, & bring much needed awareness to it. However, while doing research, I came across more alarming information about other types of puppy & adult dog & cat foods. There has been thousands of pets getting very sick, and many have died after eating bad food.
One thing I discovered is that contents from rendering plants goes into pet food. Do you know what some of those contents are? Dead Dogs & other animals. You read right, dead animals. Many from kill shelters. Thousands of animals, healthy animals, in kill shelters are killed unnecessarily just to be sold to rendering plants for profit. Yes you hear that right as well, so now when you hear kill shelters claim they had to kill animals because of space, you now know that they really did it for the money.
Here’s a short list of some of the unsavory raw materials from rendering plants in dog food products. And although each of the following ingredients are appalling, each can be lawfully used to make dog food:
- Slaughterhouse waste (organs, heads, hooves, beaks, feet)
- Bread and cereal rejects (cobs, stalks, mill sweepings)
- Dying, diseased and disabled farm animals
- Road kill (deer, skunks, and raccoons)
- Contaminated grain middlings
- Distiller fermentation waste
- Spoiled supermarket food
- Euthanized cats and dogs
- Restaurant grease
- Dead zoo animals
By now, it’s probably become obvious the pet food industry can be nothing more than a sinister waste disposal vehicle for human food manufacturers and a way to profit from its own garbage.
That’s why it’s so important for every pet owner to be able to spot these dubious ingredients and to avoid buying the products that have been made using these questionable materials.
Look for brands made by conscientious manufacturers who take pride in producing quality products those designed to enhance and extend the life of your dog.
Do the research yourself and google “Rendering Plants & Dog Food”
Purina was recently given a warning for major violations of its canned foods by the FDA, no recalls have been placed and the violations have yet to be corrected. You can read the FDA’s Report Here
As the report shows there are clear health violations within the pet food industries that are making our pets ill and causing death. You can read Consumer Complaints here by pets owners of sick, & deceased pets.

There is a great need for continuance research and that is exactly what this project is meant for and will continue to do until all illnesses and deaths are stopped. We will also be advocating and making sure these companies are held responsible and made to correct their practices. We will not give up or give in until the deaths of our beloved pets from tainted foods & formula no longer exist.
